On top of collecting used toners, old electronics and flattened cardboard to be recycled into monetary donation for the Greater Food Depository (GCFD), this November and December we will also partnering with Lakeside Bank in its annual Food Drive for the GCFD. This year, our goal is to donate 1,000 pounds of food to the Greater Chicago Food Depository to feed hungry people all over Cook County. Collections for this wonderful event will begin November 13, 2017 and end on December 9, 2017, and we encourage every one of our customers to help!
How You Can Help
Fill up a box (or two or three) with canned and boxed foods. Bring your donation to any Lakeside Bank during the branch’s working hours. For your convenience, we’ve listed below all of Lakeside Bank’s locations, along with hours and days each branch is open.
Most Needed Food Drive Items
If you’ve chosen to donate, you’re probably wondering what items are most needed for the food drive. Really, any donation is appreciated, but there is a list provided by the GCFD that can be found on our Food Drive Partner webpage. We've also listed this below.
Hold Your Own Food Drive
If you cannot make it out to a Lakeside Bank location, consider holding your own company food drive for the holiday season. On the delivery of your next office supply order, our Nice Guys Driver can drop off a food drive box. Another option is to just use the boxes your office supply orders come in and have our Nice Guys Driver pick it up! If you need a box, contact sales@getgarveys.com to request one with your next order.
