Garvey’s Office Products is proud to be an active supporter of the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Every summer, we encourage our customers to host a food drive at their office. To start one in yours, follow these simple steps.
Register Your Food Drive
In order to receive the appropriate tax receipts at the end of the year, you must register your food drive with the Greater Chicago Food Depository directly. This will also cause the Greater Chicago Food Depository notify a Nice Guy Driver to drop off an official food drive barrel at your location. Your Nice Guy Driver will drop the barrel off on his next supply delivery to your office.
Request Barrel Pickup
Once you have completed your food drive, you must request a pickup. By submitting this request, your Nice Guy Driver will be notified to pick up your donations on his next visit to your office.
Donating Just to Donate
If you’re not looking to host your own food drive, keep in mind that you can donate a few boxes of food at any time of the year. After your Nice Guy Driver makes a supply delivery, simply keep your Garvey’s Office Products boxes and fill it with your donations. Print out an official Greater Chicago Good Depository Box Label and affix it to your donation. On your Nice Guy Driver’s next visit, he will take the box(es) to be donated.
