Originally started by the World Kindness Movement in 1998, #WorldKindessDay is all about making kindness the norm. The idea of the day is that through random acts of kindness we can change the world together! As the Nice Guys in Office Supplies, we definitely support this mission. So here are some ways your company can celebrate the day!
Send Out a Message of Gratitude
Let customers or employees know just how much they are appreciated. This could be as simple as sending out an email to say “thank you” or leaving anonymous sticky notes with positive messages around the office. You could even decorate your company’s sidewalk with inspiring quotes.
Start a Recycling or Food Drive
Through our Recycle for a Reason program, you can help out a local charity by donating your used toners, old electronics and flattened cardboard. Simply collect acceptable items and then have your Nice Guy Driver pick your donations up when they make their next delivery. Alternatively, our customers also have access to our Food Drive Transportation Partner program, where we can deliver and pick up barrels for any food donations to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
Make an Outing
Being involved in your local community can create positivity everywhere! Consider having your office volunteer at a humane society or local homeless shelter.
Cook Baked Goods
Does your office have a night shift? Leave baked goods for your employees that you don’t see every day to let them know that they are appreciated. If your office works from home, consider sending a Custom Care Package to them.
