It’s time to challenge assumptions! Most office throw away used toners, old electronics and cardboard, considering them waste and labelling them as un-useful. But what if we told you that all those items could be upcycled into something good? In fact, what if those items could take Chicago’s homeless population and transition it into self-sufficiency?
A Safe Haven Foundation
By donating your office’s recycling this quarter, you will be contributing to A Safe Haven Foundation (ASHF). For those of you unfamiliar with ASHF, this wonderful organization leads the charge on Chicago’s fight against poverty. Through its programs and events, such as its 5K Run/Walk to End Homelessness at Montrose Harbor on Saturday, July 13, 2019, ASHF provides the tools for individuals to overcome the root causes of homelessness. This is no small task! And it’s one that unites families, neighborhoods and communities all throughout Chicagoland.
